Color Me Rad

Not sure if you heard or not, but Tanner and I ran a 5k this past Saturday called the Color Me Rad.  We had such a great time!!  When I signed Tanner and I up for this, we were supposed to be running with a group of people.  So, I figured he would run the whole thing with the other guys and I would hang back with the girls and run/walk the 3.11 miles.  Well, we ended up being the only ones who actually showed up for the race.  And we had a BLAST running together!  I know it was at a slower pace that what Tanner can do, but I RAN THE WHOLE THING!!!!  Such a huge accomplishment because 1.  I'm not a Runner 2.  I HATE running unless it's for a sport that requires you to run short distances and 3. I just had a baby 8 months ago....oh and did I mention I am not a runner...HAHA.

Now we are planning on putting a team together for a 5k in November called Foam Fest.  It is a 5k mixed with foam and mud run (obstacle course).  And we have some couples from our Life Group that have agreed to run it with us!  It is true what they say...5k's can be addicting once you run one :0)

We found a guy that was standing up on the hill waiting for his wife to finish and asked
him to take a picture of us and send it to our cell phone.

We didn't have a watch to see how long it took us to run, but we are thinking at the most 30 minutes.
There were 6,500 people that ran the morning race we were in, and most of them walked.
They sold out the race and had to make an afternoon heat, which consisted of 1,500 people.
The color is non-toxic, it's food coloring and corn starch.
It was 70!!!! degrees when we ran, in September, in Texas - AWESOME day for running!
The "Color Bomb Squad" managed to color my body more than my plain white t'shirt.
Tanner is an AWESOME running partner :0)
